Only 6 months?

So I was perusing my project pictures this morning & came across my very first knit FO. The date ought to be easy to remember – 2/8/2008! So I’ve been knitting 6 months. Wow, I’ve come a long way in a short time… of course, I’ve crocheted since I was 9 or 10, so it isn’t like I’m new to things like stash/yarn addiction, carrying projects with me in ziploc baggies or designing my own patterns/projects. It’s just the knitting part that is new. Oh, and socks! It was just this year that I’d crocheted socks, too.

Haven’t done much with Whomping Willow…  I’ve been enjoying a bit of a break & doing some relatively mindless knitting while watching movies.  I happily now have several ballband dishcloths in my kitchen and have rewatched some favorites (think Rickman as well as Jackman movies here).  :D

Heading out the door for a run – I’m not hearing any thunder, so I should be good to go.  I got wrapped up in a couple sites this morning, so it’s later than I had intended.  I’m determined to conquer the hill again…  a rare thing to have in Florida, but it’s a big ass hill that unfortunately is a downhill run at the start of my run.  Since I’m running out & back, that means that when I’m going uphill on the darn thing, it is in the last mile!  I keep reminding myself “Hills are runner’s strength training”, but somehow that doesn’t quite cut it when I’m struggling to reach the top of it after already running most of my miles for the day.

What caught my attention?  Plurk.  I’ve heard people talking about it & seen people posting about it, so I had checked it out briefly the other night.  Forgot all about it until the morning & went out to take a peek.  Interesting…  but I’m not entirely sure it is something that I’d keep up with – maybe as you get more friends, it gets more interesting?  I don’t know…
