Running

Yesterday (Saturday, that is), I went out for a nice casual 5 mile run.  I hit mile 4 just as I spotted Larry coming the opposite way.  He was walking rather than running, but I paused the watch & tunes so I could turn around & walk with him a bit.  It was his birthday, so I wished him a happy one & walked with him for half a mile.  We chatted the whole way until I figured I’d better turn around & head back home.  Walked back the other half mile & then ran the last mile home.  All in all, it was a really good run – even though it was SO dang hot.  I have just got to stick to heading out the door at 5am instead of 9 or 10 am!!

Multitasking Geek

So yes, it’s the weekend & what am I doing?  I’m working.  *sigh*  Ah well, this project will be done before TOO long, right?  ;)  Anyway, since it’s the weekend, I am managing to sneak in a few things that I enjoy while I’m waiting for code to compile & such.  Blogging, knitting, watching Doctor Who & Shakespeare – all totally do-able while waiting for compiling to finish.  Really!  See?  he he he

And yes – that is the very beginning of my own Doctor Who scarf.  Woo Hoo!  :D  I have a valid reason for starting it now, I really do.  It’s going to be a prop in a picture of me with my coworkers having a geekfest.  More on that in a later post.

Knitting

So yeah, I’ve started my Doctor Who scarf, clearly.  LOL  I also knit a couple tawashi yesterday to add to the stockpile of gifts.  I’ve needed to knit some things that don’t require too much thought lately since I’m working insane hours for work – I’m too tired & brainfried from working 80 work weeks to handle anything that is complicated.  A garter stitch scarf is right up my alley these days!

Today’s Ravelry Search
