Running
Yesterday I did an hour long session of Tae Bo. Been a little while since I’ve done one, so naturally, today I’m sore. It’s all good, though! :D
The temps are perfect for a good run today. Plan to get in 3 today at some point, not sure when yet. I’ll most likely take Leonardo with me – and I have high hopes of my new running partner… though he’s already playing video games, so he might be down for the count. he he he
Knitting
Yesterday, I got new yarn that I ordered from my fellow RR hoar, KnittyKnitterton. Isn’t it just GORGEOUS?!
Blair Waldorf is the colourway name. Yeah, I have no idea who that is. I don't care, though - I just LOVE the colors! :D
Along with the yarn I ordered, she also sent me a bunch of candy (claimed by the manlets blazingly fast, of course!) and 4 little balls of sock yarn leftovers. Ms Sharky, thank you!! I’ve already knit up one little fishie for my blanket, I couldn’t wait to see how BW knits up! :D

Date Night!
Psych! Took my manlets out to dinner last night to the newest local Indian restaurant. I absolutely LOVE Indian food, serious yum. :D It was their first time trying it. It was partially successful, partially not. They chowed on the Garlic Naan. The youngest went safe with Chicken Biryani & really liked it. The oldest went with Butter Chicken… and requested it “medium” on the spice factor. Me, I ordered Vegetable Korma – which I’d had on Monday at lunch. I ordered it spicy-hot, which I had done on Monday. Welp. Apparently there was a different cook last night than Monday. Mine arrived so spicy that I simply could not finish it. A first for me, actually. It’s the ONLY meal that I have not been able to eat because the spice factor was just too high. LOL! The oldest gave me a taste of his rice with the sauce from his… and honestly, it was just as spicy as mine was! But he was a helluva trooper & ate every bite of chicken he had! The only thing they didn’t like about the experience was the fact that the restaurant we went to was a) too fancy for their comfort zone and b) too expensive! They were horrified by the prices. *snicker*
After dinner, we hit Target to pick up a new iPod for the youngest. He got the same Nano that I did, except his is black. We walked in, got what he wanted, picked up some snacks & headed next door to the movie theatre to see the movie they’ve been wanting to see… Madea Goes To Jail.
Now… we’ve got the play on DVD. The movie has a different storyline to it than the play… and there is NO singing in the movie. The manlets didn’t mind that part in the least, since the singing is not something they enjoy anyway. :D I had already seen the movie last weekend with the IRL BFF, but I still laughed just as hard as I did the first time. We all seriously love Tyler Perry’s work – it’s always such a great mix of humor, sadness, truth, love, faith & life lessons. Madea is our hands down favorite of course – and we’re usually disappointed when there isn’t as much Madea in a story. I was actually very happy to see him in the movie as the straight man for once, too. :)

This are really amazing! Interestingly enough, around here the young girls latest fad is short-shorts with socks that go up just above the knee - though they are usually ugly athletic tube socks.

*grin* Yes, I do know that! Hmm, wonder if I can figure out what to search on that would net patterns that incorporate both… Must play with that tomorrow! :D
As far as Indian food goes… you can have the level of spice adjusted. When the spice is a tolerable level for you, it is wonderful! Hands down, one of my favorites! Is Hungarian food not very spicy??

really, you should knit a vortex. it only takes a couple of hours, and then the grafting. And you get a cool hat. :)
And the pokey-stick is just plain awesome. (then again, I’m biased.)

You’ve knit one already? My only downside to knitting one is I won’t get to wear it hardly at all, being in FL & all. But… I’m thinking it would be possible to wear one on my early morning runs when it’s still a bit chilly out…? :D I totally love it, so I’m pretty sure that I’ll end up knitting one up sooner or later.
And absolutely – the pokey stick ROCKS! ;)

Hmm Hungarian food. We use a lot of paprika and sou can decide if you use the sweet or the hot ones. I don’t like spicy/hot things at all, so I always opt for the sweet ones. you will not find chili in my house…LOL

I thought paprika was widely used, but I guess I never really realized that paprika can be sweet/spicy vs. hot/spicy…? :) I’m not too well versed on some spices, obviously, but I also think that our choices here aren’t too varied when it comes to paprika. This is pretty much it – though I suspect specialty shops probably carry a better variety. :D
You should totally do a blog post with some recipes!! I would love that, see what I might could adopt to be vegetarian… though, of course, it wouldn’t quite be the same with my limited options for the paprika! ;)

Hehehe, I just watched a whole episode of Jamie Oliver where he cooked with chilis… I just don’t get the hot food thing. I mean if something is so spicy/hot, I can’t feel any other taste.
As for paprika, in this case a special type of pepper grow especially for drying and grounding . It has a few different type, Kalocsa, or Szeged (two cities in the southern part of the country) and you can have them from all sweet ones to very spicy/hot ones. (I can send you some from both :-)
Well that is a good idea, about posting some food… though my cooking is weird. As i already mentioned I don’t like hot/spicey, or bitter food. Some of the things we eat would seriously freak an average american out (pasta with fresh, unsalted farmer’s/fresh cheese with bits of fried bacon and sugar on top…. I know it sound crazy), and I tend to mix things. Cook the traditional hungarian pörkölt- a gulash-like thing- with olive oil. And mix styles too, Hungaran and italian the most, but the eight years in Florida didn’t pass me untached.

Wow, that would be totally awesome!! :D I was thinking I’d have to bring some back with me when I come to visit! ;) And for cooking – mixing styles can turn out some really great recipes, though! :) Naturally, the bacon with the pasta is a no go for me, LOL, but pasta with cheese & a bit of sugar sounds pretty good!
